COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Ripstop Rye Pils is our reinterpretation of the classic pilsner lager beer: aromas of European malt and noble-type hops mingle with a dignified, refreshing, and clean malt character that is further distinguished with a generous addition of spicy rye malt, creating a beer that is at once malty, zesty, crisp, hoppy, and incredibly drinkable.

On tap at the brewery. Pour is clear yellow with a frothy white head and great lacing. Grassy, crackery, cereal, light grain, biscuit and lemony aroma. Taste is grassy, grainy, bread, cracked rye, and cereal with a light bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Refreshing pils.

At base camp with Steven. Pours idly orange with thin white head. Aroma is Vienna malt, light crisp. Taste is interesting grassy raw barley hay, some sweetness from the malt, pilsner malt. Full flavored pils, with grass notes, pretty good for the style.

650ml bottle shaped aluminum can pours a hazy straw color with a finger of white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is light citrus and cereal grains. Taste is a grassy and citrus hop bitterness with a grainy malty sweetness finishing with some spiciness. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. A nicely done brew that is tasty and easy to drink.

Tap. Grassed nose lightly smothered in rye. Flavors are elements of a dirt malt, grass, and a nice clean hop towards the finish. The rye lightly comes out as the finish is finishing. I like the idea, could be a bit more full flavored in the rye dept.

Sampled at the brewpub - Pours yellow with a mild hazy and a white head. The aroma has light dough and mild spice. It has a medium body with soft flowing carbonation. The start has dry pils malt, sulfur and mild spiciness. The finis has a bit of fruitiness which is odd for the style, but is still nice.

Clear light golden color with white head. Peppery, rye spice, dusty pils malt aromas. Light to medium bodied. Dusty pils malt, rye spice, earthy hop flavors____very tasty.

Medium hazy glowing golden with a nice lively head that settles slow. Smells of grains and wet dough. Smooth malted grain great body with little peaks of spicy rye that appear but does not affect how smooth it goes down.

Visual: Ultra cool aluminum bottle, much lighter and easier to hold/pour. Top 10 coolest bottle for sure. Pours translucent golden yellow with a smallish lasting foamy head, a thin layer of retention, lots and lots of activity. Nose: very faint grassy-citrus malts, not much there (lvl-2)-pungency Attack: crisp, incoming hoppy bitterness Mid-palate: (lvl-5)-sweetness, (MAIN) thick lager sweetness, bready rye malts Finish: soft hoppy medium-high bitter finish Summary: A very full-bodied feeling pils with very round edges. Not my favourite style but a good beer that I can appreciate nonetheless.

Hazy dull tan, crisp pils hops, the rye is big chewy at the back. A bit strange but once you get used to it I think it’s an effective beer.

22 oz aluminum bottle- Pours hazy golden with a one finger head that reduces leaving a blanket and thick layered lace. Aroma is spicy rye, crisp and clean, some citrus. Taste is sweet and light malt, mellow rye that becomes more noticeable in the finish, citrus and very refreshing. Best Base Camp I’ve had so far.
