3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask conditioned handpump Old Fountain London 03/05/13. A dark dark brown coloured beer with a whitish head. A sweet boozy yeasty beer. Lots of fruit. Quite Belgian in a way. Not hop forward. Intriguing and very tasty. Stylistically interesting too because I cannot get away from that Belgian yeastiness and sweetness.

Bradford Beer Festival 2015. Dark chestnut-brown in colour. Has a sugary-sweet aroma and taste with hints of roasted malt and hints of toffee too.

Gravity Dispense at Beer Rebellion, Crystal Palace. It pours deep brown with no head. The nose is earthy, coffee, light roast and some underlying sweetness. The taste is mild roast, ash, caramel, cocoa, toast, fruitiness, coffee and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and low/no carbonation. Shame about the condition. So-so.

Gravity @ Beer Rebellion. Deep brown, no head. Flat pour. The nose is toast, toffee, cocoa. The taste is apple,
Fruit leather. Light acidity. Moldy grain. Flat, not in great condition. Overall, pretty forgettable.

Cask (gravity) @ The 18th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2012, Reading, Berkshire England.
Unclear dark red brown colour with a small to average, fizzy to frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, ash, tart something ! Flavor is moderate sweet, light light acidic and light moderate bitter with a long duration, ash, roasted, thin, spicy, tart notes ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Not to my liking some odd about this !

Tap at Pig’s Ear 2012. This is a brown coloured beer, which came with a bit of a head. It’s kind of a modern style brown ale, balancing biscuity malt, some nutmeg/cinnamon spice, fruity notes and a pleasing dry bitter finish. Well put together and enjoyable.
