This was very roasty in flavor with a little bit of molasses/caramel/candy flavors coming in. In some ways this was like a poor man’s Corsendonk Abbey Brown jimmack (1209), Nutley, New Jersey, USA Aug 18, 2005 On tap at Andy’s. Dark brown color with a medium sized tan head. Nice roasted malt aroma with a bit of molasses. Flavor is mostly dark roasted malt, dark chocolate with a slightly bitter finish. Caramel notes. Nutty. Flavor is malty and roasty. Very nice. Full bodied. Finish is malty. Smooth. Very drinkable. Probably the best of the Basil Ts that day. Not saying that much as I was underwhelmed. A good example of the style, but nothing remarkable to it.. The name was more creative than anything.
