I believe this is the pale ale they were serving. Very dry, perhaps overcarbonated APA. Passable but not something to seek out, there are just so many good beers for this style.

Hooper Pale Ale-pours a gold color. Aroma is mild hops. Taste is hops and dry, but light on the carbonation.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 pineypower (1816) - Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA - DEC 18, 2004
I liked this batch. Has a nice head with a bitter hop aroma. The taste is very smooth and balanced with nice hop kick to it. A little watery and not as high gravity as you’d expect from an IPA.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 beaconstreet (811) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 5, 2004
Too much bitterness, somewhat watery. Maltiness rings out in this one like a bell. Appearance is like a lighter IPA. Don’t try this one. I know, you want a rating, or you need to try for yourself. Sigh, I guess I can’t stop you then...

On tap at Nj beer fest. Bland tasting. Yellow in color with a white head. Slightly hoppy. Thin in body. Ok.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 freekyp (1294) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - JUN 12, 2004
A pale ale that leans towards the malty end of the spectrum. Nutty aroma and flavor. This pale ale is medium bodied with a light amber hue. A cottony softness resides in the finish. Hops are present, but not the leader here.
