willblake (1917), Long Branch, New Jersey, USA Mar 10, 2007 10-Mar-07 Tap at brewpub. Orange tinged amber color with sturdy off-white head. Once the beer warmed (brewpubs stop serving your beer so cold!!!) a nice hoppy aroma evolved of mild citrus and some brisk noble notes (grassy/earthy/leather). Medium-full body was spot-on with lightly tingling eff throughout the pint and a pleasant stickiness at the finish. Hop profile is a nice mix of citrusy c-hop (and amarillo?) and some grassy bite ringing more traditional. Very good balance throughout. I was pleasantly surprised by this one and ordered a second. jcwattsrugger (3757), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Feb 1, 2006 on tap-pours a creamy, light tan head with cloudy orange color. Aroma is citrus, hops. Mouthfeel has a slickness. Taste is hops with a bite. Medium body, nice. Just brought on line recently, although I was first told “not available yet.’ Then, after having it, there were differing opinions by the staff what ‘it’ is. Both beers tonight were much better than the ones I had here last summer.
