Draft from the brewpub. Poured a basically headless clear deep dark red/brown, nice color just needs a head. Aroma of chocolate, hint of wet wood, syrup, cola, grass. Fuller bodied that is chewy and big with average to slightly strong carbonation and a bitter bite on the end with a good dose of alcohol heat. Flavor is dry bakers chocolate, well done very dry toast, prune and raisin, hint of plywood as well. Wow a pretty decent beer from Basils, I’m amazed.

on tap-pours a disappearing tan head and copper color. Aroma is mild. Slightly sweet light/medium malt-carameol, some citrus? Taste is slightly sweet light/medium malt-carameol, some citrus, slight alcohol.
