Cask at the Brewery Tap, Burton. Amber with a thin white head; fruity malt aroma; fruity malt flavour as well, with perhaps a hint of orange; biscuity finish. A rather refined and austere beer, a touch "old-fashioned" for todays tastes.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MesandSim (7109) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 25, 2007
A Mes rate: Cask at the White Horse. Bight orange gold with no head. Earth aroma with some slight grassy hops and not much else. Alcohol and slight malt in the flavour and definite water. Tastes like it has been watered down. Very bland. Didn’t get finished on account of it being time to go and I just could not be bothered.
