Draft at The Forest, Dorridge, Solihull. Poured a clear copper colour with a big white frothy head and enough lace to curtain a small mansion. The aroma was malty but weak. The flavour was weak bitter, creamy, malty with a slightly metallic aftertaste. It’s not a bad beer, but there are so many beers out there with more flavour these days.

Yikes. Pretty run of the mill, tastes similar to American adjunct lager with a heftier price tag. If you’re going to spend a couple more bucks , just buck up and get something actually decent.

Can on the train from Edinburgh - 08/12/12 cheers to Tom V for the ’Meh’ ! Lightly hazed pale golden with a thin off white head that retains well. Nose is pale malt, light diacetyl, touch butterscotch and caramel. Taste comprises sweet sugar, caramel, biscuit - MEH! Light in body, soft carbonation, light bitterness in the finish. Pretty crap.

Dobre Ale o lekko burszynowym zabarwieniu. Goryczkowe i wytrawne. Na mojej etykiecie widnieje miasto: Burton-On-Trent

Good looker with a nice nose, but the texture is thin and its taste isn’t too evident.

classic can without nitro bomb, nice hoppy flower aroma, clear, white foam, medium bitterness, medium sweetness, light body, soft carbonation, bitter, good start but i nthe end i nthe finish it seems like a cheaper stuff, more fermentated than usual ...so empty end, average bitter

Can 0,5ltr: Clear amber coloured brew with almost no foamy head. Sweet of taste and the beer drinks smoothly away. The beer with he oldest trademark, go independt again in Burton, please.

500ml can. Pours bright orange with a thin head. Aroma is stewed fruits and malt. Taste is fruity malt, with a dry, bitter finish. Minerally.

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2011 Bass can 440ml 4.4% ABV Pours an amber body with a thinnish white head. Ap3 Ar5 Yeast, malt, nuts, hops, mild citrus, fruity. Ta5 Tangy and bittersweet, some artificial tastes and dustiness. Some harsh alcoholic burn Pa3 Dry, sweetish finish. Ov10 A bit thin given its strength. Weird artificial taste due to it being from a can. There’s no need to settle for this when there’s a lot better out there.
