500ml Bottle. Deep red colour, fizzy to feed a thin head. Slightly antiseptic sweet smell, not offensive. Also a sour maltiness. Light nutty brown taste, plenty of malt once the bitterness fades. Leaves malt in the mouth. Spoilt only by beig too subtle and almost weak.

Golden clear color, little aroma or boldness in flavor. An average, inoffensive almost lager taste. Reliable brew for most occasions.

Can @ home. It says Bass Premium Ale. Looks orange/amber. Smell is hops, some malts. Taste is soft, smooth, a bit watery, a little sweet and a soft bitter finish. Refreshing.

Pretty average Engish bitter, goes down easily but lacks much character or strong flavour. I suppose it’s quite good for something so mass produced.

Very classic English pale ale. It is nothing special, but a good and classic average English pale ale.

A good beer off the fresh tap in a pommy pub and conversely a fairly ordinary beer from the bottle. So, to be fair I rate the former as a well balanced beer with good hop flavour. It is best served at a good cellar temperature.

Creamy white head. Goood lacing. Clear body. Medium amber color. Hoppy, Citrus smells. Bitter all around with flavors of citrus. Slight oily texture with a light body. Not what I was expecting from this one.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2006 (Can BB 03/07) Fruity, slightly toffee and malty aroma. Amber colour, clear and average size, white, very slightly lasting head with good lacing. Fruity, slightly toffee, malty and very slightly bitter flavour. Softly carbonated and medium-bodied palate with a metallic hint. 19/10/06

Bottle in London. Copper body with thin head. Fruity and spicy nose. Nice caramel and spicy tastes. A great beer that I will always return to.
