3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at home in Salisbury. Pours clear copper-orange with a fine, foamy white head. Nose holds caramel, some berries, bread. Medium sweetflavor with sugary bread, mild leafy bitterness, further caramel, ripe berries. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with lightly toasted bread and caramel, some dirty leaves, ripe berries and other fruits. Lightly astringent but not terrible overall.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from wegmans. Pours clear amber with a small off white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma has light floral notes, light pine, some citrus. The taste is lightly citrus and lacks the punch of a real ipa style.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Kind of a rich orange pour with a small foamy white head - not bad looking. Lots of caramel with some cardboard in the aroma - ugg. Nose is hoppier than the taste. Note a great brew here.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bass IPA has a medium, off-white head, a clear, bubbly, amber appearance, and a little lacing left behind. The aroma is of caramel, toffee, brown bread crust, subdued hops, and sweetness. Taste is of those elements, with hop bitterness that tastes like hops, rather than grape fruit or pine oil. Mouthfeel is medium and slightly slick, and Bass IPA finishes semi-dry, refreshing, easy going, and delicious. They nailed it! RJT

Drank from bottle,
I had this the other night to get it off the shelf because it just wont sell, very week for an IPA. The taste of caramel threw me off. It wasn’t hoppy enough to be a true IPA. Very, very meh.

Clear Amber with a medium amount of carbonation. Frothy off white head. with a little hope aroma. A true English lightly hoped IPA. Medium body with more malt than hops which is good. Nice clean finish.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Nice malt aroma. Not as hoppy as american india pale ales. Malt balances nicely with the mild hops.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Looked good in the glass, copper color with nice head. But that caramel smell with little hops quickly lowered my expectations and then there was the taste. Loaded too much with caramel malts for an IPA and the hops are there but end up taking back stage to the malts. Poor excuse for an IPA.
Had to come back to this one, got a 6 pack of it, 4 more to go. I might would give this a better rating if it was labled an amber ale or even a fall seasonal. This is something I might go for in fall but not 101 degree summer. So AB/Inbev take the IPA off the label!

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours clear copper with 2-finger off-white head. Nose is caramel malt, noble hops, a bit vegetal. Tastes noble hoppy, tart, somewhat dry, bittter, and has an odd tasting acidic metallic bitter finish. This one is sub par.
