Fairly average, middle-of-the-road, slightly sweet/malty ale. Slight caramel on the nose and flavor. Easy to drink.

Bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht malzig, Karamell, metallisch. Geschmack leicht röstmalzig, süß, muffig.

A clear light amber body with a scarce white head. Nose has some caramel, herbs and a metallic note. Taste is sweet at first and is then followed by a hoppy bitterness. Carbonation is medium with large bubbles, palate is a little thin. A decent but somewhat mediocre pale ale.

Boooooof, pale ale pour le nom mais c’est surtout de la flotte... Enfin bon, bière bien industrielle et sans aucun intérêt...

There are apparently several labels for this beer. I drank the one labeled "Imported Pale Ale" by Bass & Co’s England during my stay in Narita, Japan. Malty biscuity aroma. Taste is biscuit and malt, with a noticeable metallic quality. Mouthfeel is medium with a soft carbonation.

Bottle, kindly donated by friend, many thanks. Amber colored beer with medium white head. Fruity, malty aroma. Malty taste with caramel, earthy notes and shy hoppiness.

On tap at The Cricketers, 500 yen for 250ml. I can’t believe I haven’t rated this already, I wonder if this was made in the UK or in Japan under contract... Clear amber brown pour, filmy light beige head. Floral, fruity, caramel & slightly grainy aroma. Medium to light body, sweet caramel candy, almost grape juice like taste with a soft finish. Ok I guess, has that excessive sweetness/sugariness I associate with big commercial UK brews...

Pint at a bar. Not too bad. It kind of finishes with a watery taste. Good flavor at the start but doesn’t finish strong that’s for sure. .

25 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from an Express Delhaize. BBF 21/06/2014. Clear textbook amber, bubbles rising & sad off-white head. Nose is metallic, slightly skunky, lots of sweet biscuit, caramel apples, iron, bit past it,… Sweet taste, metallic, bubblegum, lots of biscuit, bread, sugary candy apples, candy sugar, floral / grass, hint booze,… Pretty oily, bubblegum feel to it. Hing carb. Pretty dull much like Bass. Interesting to have a BE take on a UK brew but I just wish that it was with an exiting beer by non-macro breweries.
