3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured into a pint glass. Transparent amber color with a half finger of white head and left some lacing as it retreated.
It smells like whiskey and apple juice. I was surprised by this, but I like it.
Slight sour apple taste with a little bitter kick at the end. Not a whole lot going on, but it tastes nice.
Smooth and lighter body with low carbonation.
It is nice but not exceptional. Apparently it is the World’s first pale ale and a world-wide icon.

12 oz. bottle from Wilbur’s. Appearance: finger of loose reddish head, amber red color, clear, head does not last. Aroma: caramel, light floral, light orange, very very light roast malt. Palate: watery texture, light carbonation, light bitter finish. Taste: sweet malt start, light bitter finish. Overall, very boring.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
An okay beer, this is fairly malty, certainly more than a real pale ale. Nothing special, actually prefer harp when mixing with Guinness.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Solid pale ale. Nice carbonation bite and slightly sweet aftertaste. It’s not something I’ll pursue again, but I could drink more of this.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draught. Some people rave about this, drink nothing else, but I'm not so enamoured. Smelly, salty aromas of wet leaves and light caramel. Nutty brown look. Lightish body, sedate carbonation. Uneven flavours of buttery malt, caramel, and damp fruit. A kind of downer.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Brewed by William Bass & Cos, Baldwinsville, NY. Amber with a thick cream head; biscuity malt aroma; biscuity malt taste with some soft caramel; and a sweet biscuity aftertaste, with some very light hops. I suspect William is spinning in his grave back in Burton.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap at bar. Golden in color when it got to be it had little head left. Aroma was a weak malt. Taste was malty gaining in hops as the thin watery brew slides down. Good for pitchers and pizza but little else. I seem to remember this was better back in the day. Maybe because the US brew has not had a home since 2000.
