3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured into a pint glass. Transparent amber color with a half finger of white head and left some lacing as it retreated.
It smells like whiskey and apple juice. I was surprised by this, but I like it.
Slight sour apple taste with a little bitter kick at the end. Not a whole lot going on, but it tastes nice.
Smooth and lighter body with low carbonation.
It is nice but not exceptional. Apparently it is the World’s first pale ale and a world-wide icon.

"a light pale, in both color and aroma...and flavor. Very smooth, especially served on nitro, but thin and there’s not enough going on to keep me too interested. ok."

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Sly Fox (Pinehurst, NC). Orange/amber pour with a bit of tan head. Aroma of fresh bread, vinegar (?). Lots of earthy, bread-y qualities here. Toasted walnuts come to mind for some reason. Overall, easy sipper.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle poured in a tulip glass.
A: Nice clear amber color with a thin beige head which remains for a good time but leave only few lacings around
S: Caramel malts. Sweet. Nutty and woody too. Hoppy end
T: Follows the nose: Caramel malts are very evident. Dry. Light bitterness
M: Light body and reasonable carbonation to an English Ale. A bit molasses
D: Very drinkable. Should be a little bit more bitter to be perfect :)

I recall when I first started drinking it I thought it was a classic, but noticed alot of variability in bottle vs. draft. After awhile it started to go way down hill in my mind. Last nights sampling was actually a pleasant surprise. While Bass Ale is not a potent monster of a beer, it indeed has a fair and drinkable character.

Pours a medium color of amber and a thin non existent head. Little to no aroma, with a taste to match.

Clear amber color with thin white head. Very lageresque. Tastes like a mass-market pale.

Good beer, was easy to drink and wasn’t too strong. In the English spirit I had it with fish and chips and it paired perfectly

Aroma doce, intenso. Canela e malte. Muito bom.
Sabor ácido, um pouco suave. Amargor médio. Álcool perceptível no fundo. Algo de especiarias.
Retrogosto ácido e amargo.
Creme castanho, denso e bem formado. Líquido alaranjado intenso e translúcido. Muito bonita.
