Serving: from tap at Doyle’s Public House. Aroma: horse blanket. Appearance: small, off-white, initial head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, medium-amber body. Taste: lightly malty initial flavor and lightly acidic finish with average duration. Palate: light bodied with oily texture and lively carbonation. Overall: average.

Good classic ale taste. This is one of my favorite beers. Reminds me of when I was first learning to enjoy great beer.

I thought this was a decent beer, a little lighter than I had expected due to the dark apperance. Slightly bitter with a weak hop character.

Light Brown Color, Good Head, Some Lacing. Malt and light bitter that does not last long. Has a Long history and might have been a standout back in the day when competing with Buds and Millers. However, nowadays in a craft beer world, it is just an average beer. While there is nothing wrong with it, where is nothing overly exiting either.

Pours copper color with 1 finger white head. Malt and caramel smell. Caramel, toffee and malt taste. Medium body with decent carbonation. Nothing spectacular about it but it’s good.

From tap. Pours a clear copper in color with little to no head. Aroma was bread, sweet malt and earthy hops. Taste follows with a fruity and malt sweetness that turns to bitter.

Slightly skunky aroma. Thin mouth. Taste is very light. Clean aftertaste with some bitterness. Not overly interesting.

Bottle. Pours a dark copper with a finger of white head. Settles quickly with minimal lacing. Aroma is mildly hoppy, sweet, bread, dough, fruity, banana, and malty. Flavor is sweet, bready, fruity, banana mild caramel. Hardly bitter at all, quite sweet throughout. Moderate carbonation, medium body, light and crisp texture, with a watery finish. Neither a pale ale or a bitter, a mediocre, bready, fruity, sweet mess of a beer.
