Slightly malty with a little bit of a sweet/sour taste. Smooth, good flavor. Can't go wrong with it.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Flaska hos Petrus. Söt doft av skumtomtar. Söt smak av honung, sött bröd, lätt beska. Söt och blek pale ale som lämnar en del att önska.

Bottle. Copper-gold color with white foam. Aroma: malt and fruit, a little sweetness of candy and butterscotch, a bit of butter, caramel and floral hops. Taste: malt sweetness, oily, a little watery, caramel, biscuit, a little nuts, light hop bitterness.

Pour is light, lager looking. thin soapy head. Smell is funky and skunky with odd earthy and roasty notes. Taste is pretty darn similar. It does leave a long bitterness ans sweetness after

Draft. At Holy Grail, Epping, NH. Clear gold color thin lasting head in a shaker pint. Aroma is light bready malt, dead old hops.

The flavor is an ESB in its simplest form. Grain base with weak bready malts. The hops are here but seem dead. However in nearly and English style beer the hops are weak. The texture is thin with a watery body. I seem to remember this being better when I was living overseas. Of course my palate has come a long way since that time frame. Not awful.

I had it on tap. It pours a pale amber color with some white head and lacing. The aroma is faint caramel and bready. The taste is the same with a very faint hint of bitterness. It was a bit too sweet. It was light on carbonation and a little thin. This is an average and inoffensive beer.

Tap sample. looks OK but lacking character. Another stripped down classic. Remember what Ford did to Jaguar? Don’t put up with this, know what you’re drinking and boycot .

Rated from old notes. Bass has a unique taste that is instantly identifiable. Initially sweet, with caramel and malts. Rather staid and unexciting, but still pleasant. Faint sourness at the finish. Good with food. Decent.
