2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle pours a clear amber color with small white head and a little lacing. Aroma is full of malts and grains, mostly malty without any hoppiness.. Easily drinkable with a slightly weird finish. Body is light to medium with above average carbonation. Much better than average for this brewery, buit that isnít saying much.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Draft. Pours deep red with no head. Mild carbonation with thin watery mouthfeel. Malt aroma comes through in taste. It's like Budweiser with red food coloring and slightly more alcohol.

Tap at Pat OíBrienís in the Citywalk near Universal Studios. Not a lot to choose from so this was the option. Pint glass. Nearly amber in color...strong copper. Aroma on the malt end of the spectrum. Taste follows suit. Maybe a hint of hops but malt, grain steal the show. Itís really not that bad if you take into consideration it doesnít really look to impress. There is a little bitter at the end but minimal. I would consider this OK. Just donít expect greatness.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Gold with little head. Aroma and taste are very sweet with floral notes and a weird banana like flavor. On the thin side. Not the best.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Smell of caramel and sweet malt. Not much glittering hops for a pale ale. Drinks a little on the sweet side as well. For a mass produced beer this is actually a pretty good one and I do enjoy making black and tans with it.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Oh yeah, this thing. I remember this one pretty well and am certainly glad to have just found some notes on this. Here goes:
Always been poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a decent hazy orange to amber color with a decent half finger-ed white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. The lacing, well, it kinda trickled and sputtered a bit by sliding into the beer fairly quickly.
The smell was definitely that soapy/British sweet malty-like substance with what I believe to be and have learned to be "fuggles" hops (quite earthy, semi-rustic and soapy to some).
The taste was malty sweet with that decent leading edge of the fuggles hops trying to come through.
The palate, well, that was basically a light to medium in body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation is super subdued (but thatís okay since Iím reviewing this as an English Pale Ale).
Overall, I say this isnít a bad English Pale Ale, though these beers donít get the love they did at one time, I say this is good for the style and not bad for me, if anything, its a fish ní chips sort of beer.
