Color is transparent reddish brown- that of medium-seeped iced tea. Large head, about 1.33 inches that doesn’t last very long. Smell, to me, is very malty. Feels nice in the mouth and down the throat. Taste is average, with minimal bitterness. If the label didn’t say "pale ale" I would have never guessed that it was. It tastes like a run of the mill mass produced pale lager, but of a much better, actually drinkable, quality. I don’t feel the need to buy it again, but I would consider it like striking gold to find it at a party, as an alternative to the you-know-whats that one usually finds when they visit friends.

Very noticiable water aroma, strange for a beer to be known for the water it uses to be so prominent. Biscuit flavor to it and balanced, not exceptional but still better than most imitators.

Crisp, biscuity taste. Reddish gold in color, with a medium-sized white head. Mild bitterness.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2011 Aroma is mild caramel and buttery english esters. Appearance is copper orange color. Clear with one finger white head that disapates quickly. Taste is mild caramel and a slight tart flavor. Apple, light fruity english esters as well as butter. Hint of vanilla and cinnamon, minerally. Palate is light and crisp. Caramel and apple linger. Overall a nicely balanced drinker with excellent flavors. Underated due to availabilty IMO.

On tap, this beer was surpisingly tasty. I wasn’t expecting this to taste so good. If all that is on tap is other macros I will prob take this over alot of other beers. It is well rounded and very easy to drink, I recommend this one a taste

bottled. pours orange-copper with more than decent white head. refreshing. no complex malts or depth, but the caramel malts are a little sweet along with bitter orange and a hint of woodsy-vanilla undertones. average carbonation. thin body if not weak - lack of malts - but for sure a good pub choice when diversity is not offered...!

Copper in color with a white head. Typically bland as expected from English ales.

Gorgeous color. Refreshing, light palate for a pale ale. Tastes like an English pub beer almost as much as the Fuller ales do.
