Pretty weak for a pale ale. This is another beer that I think the recipe changed at some point.

Not my favourite kind of beer... much like a pale ale. I don’t know what all the fuss it about. Not sure if I would buy again with other options available.

This is the beer that started me on my way as a beer lover way back many years ago. Many people I’ve spoken to think Bass has changed and is not as good as it used to be. Not sure if this is true but it tastes to me that this is the case. Shame that such an iconic British pale ale was allowed to get bought out. I will always have a soft spot for Bass. Serving: Tap and bottle

12 oz bottle into a Bass English pint. First the BOSS, now the Bass. Aroma is caramel, seaweed, grain. Pours a clear brilliant deep copper hue with a small head. Taste is salty sweet with very little bitterness (I think it’s funny these are considered Bitters in England when any kind of bitterness is barely detectable). Highly carbonated, medium to light body. I haven’t had one of these in a few years. It’s better than I remember, but still not all that great.

Pours a clear amber color with a nice off white head. Aroma of malts and hops, caramels and light fruits. Flavors of hops, grain, malts and hints of caramels. Good carbonation, light sweet and bitter. Nice flavors and easy to drink.

Clear golden colour with small white head. Mild fruity soda-like hoppy aroma with some maltiness. Mild hops, caramel and some sweetness in flavour. Easy Pale Ale (or ESB).
