Solid brew. Pours a nice deep amber/copper with a generous white head. Pleasant malty aroma Very refreshing on the palate with a crisp finish that has a nice touch of hops in the background to it. I think the best way to describe this one would be well-balanced

I’ve found this beer goes down very well, especially as the first beer at a session. Have tried it on tap in various pubs, solid flavour with the right amount of froth.

Pours a dark amber with a nice white frothy head. Smells of malt. Tastes malty in the front with just a little hops in the back. Used to be one of my favorite beers. Now it tastes a little too generic and malty for my style.

I’m giving this higher marks than it likely deserves, for purely nostalgic reasons. As my British stepfather always tells me, "Nobody in England drinks Bass beer." Whether or not it’s as schwaggy as Bud is to many British drinkers, I can nonetheless dig this beer to this day. Frothy amber body, abundant malts, not many hops in the somewhat thin body but enough flavor and, again, fond remembrance to make me overlook a lot.

This is a good beer but gets much better in a black and tan. It helps give it some body.

On tap. Pours a dark amber with a small white head. Aroma and flavor of sweet light malt. Not much to say, but this beer is rather drinkable. Watery palate, but not bad.

Clear amber ale with a small off-white head and minimal carbonation. Aroma is sweet with a touch of spice. Flavor is malty sweet with hop in the background; mouthfeel is medium. Finish sweet and short. Good ale.

A-Sweet A-Clear amber F-Bitter, with a strong alcohol flavor P-Smooth O-Decent, but not hoppy enough for me
