This beer pours a golden amber with a light white head. It has an aroma of sweet malt with little hops on the olfactory. It tastes of sweet malt, again with little hops, but is not overpoweringly sweet. This is a good beer.

This clear copper ale poured with a large off-white head and a pale malt aroma. This is a decent british session beer with a good malt base and a balanced hop bitterness.

Clear amber color with white head. Slight wheat and hops aroma. Taste is pretty clean with a watery texture. Lightly bitter aftertaste.

Damn. Forgot how good Bass was. Unpolished copper colour. Nose is tight. Even after trying my tricks to open it up the bouquet is fairly indescript besides a bit of caramel. It has an interesting slight creamy mouth feel. Taste is also surprising with a faint bit of chocolate. Wish it would linger a bit longer though. it faints towards the end. Stepping it up to 5.5% wouldnt hurt eiter.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2011 Oh, who hasn’t had this stuff? On it’s own, mixed with Guinness, or whatever you want - decent stuff. Re-rate 8/24/11. 1w9z bottle. Light amber pour with a small tan head that fades fast and laces a teensy bit. Very mild aroma of bread and crackers with a touch of roasty caramel. Sweet and almost fruity flavor at first, touching on grape, which fades to bread and lingering earthy dryness. Score went up 0.1 for a point raise on Overall.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2009 300 ML bottle in the USA. Nice ale aroma, carmmel color with brown head and good lacing. Taste is pure and sooth which is uncommon among the American counterparts. Not an ale fan but this is not bad at all.

One of the better "real", made-in-England pale ales I’ve had, with a good amber colour and a decent head. Aroma is slightly malty as is the taste, with a refreshing, crisp aftertaste.

Pint draft. Pours copper with minimal off white head. Weak aroma of malt, wheat, and hops. Same elements characterize the flavor, with a bit of caramel. Smooth on the palate and goes down easily. Nothing special but not bad at all, and hopefully serves as a gateway beer for some.
