Draft. Pours a clear copper with a small off-white head. A light aroma of malt. Flavor is also light, some malt sweetness, a little nutty, a little metallic and not much in the way of hops. Easy to drink. As good a session beer you can expect to find in many big-name chain restaurants in the U.S.

I tried this beer on August 13, 2008 after purchasing from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a beautiful translucent red colour with a thin off-white cap. The aroma was nutty malt with some hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, slightly creamy, and ample carbonation. The flavour was very malty with a hint of hoppish bitterness. Some nutty character certainly came through.

Copper color with short lived head. Smells more malty than hoppy. Flavor is mostly malt with a bit of hop bitterness. A little bland, but better than American macros or anything else you’d find at a crap bar or a restaurant.

Better than the bottle version. Very creamy with some hop flavor. good for summer boating or where you don’t want to take glass.

I’ve drank Bass many a time but never rated it. Not a bad mass produced beers and could easily be one of my commonly produced favorites. Good mix of malt and carbonation. Slight tinny finish and this was from a tap.

Clear amber with a disappearing head. Mostly caramel aroma and some barnyard. Sweet then mild hop bitter. Wasn’t expecting much from a mass produced English Ale and it lived up to that.

Copper pour, big head, some lace, Beery aroma. Medium carb, very sweet, with a good beery flavor. Some grainy corny flavor with no bitterness at all. Very smooth for an ale, tasty.

50 cl can, Winnipeg, MB, Canada. Pale amber colour, frothy head that settle slowly. Faint aroma, mildly carbonated, well representative even if from a can, slight tinny aftertaste (or is that my imagination?). Quite mild, perhaps too much so for a ’premium’ but very drinkable.
