thenumber1g (68), Cary, North Carolina, USA Jan 17, 2008 Very good beer, one of the best I have tried in a long while. Light on the hops but very malty! timfoolery (482), California, USA Jan 14, 2008 More malt taste than hops, as in typical pale ales, but this one satified with a smooth palate and subtle hops. It’s a pretty good brew at a party, or a familiy function. shackinetics (132), Florida, USA Jan 13, 2008 brownish amber with fair amount of dense white head. Not much to the nose, with a medium build and what I can only describe as a very peppery taste. Heavy on malt, low on hops. Okay stuff when there’s nothing tastier around at the sports bar darkguardian (506), Florida, USA Jan 13, 2008 A good beer, fairly common to find on tap. Some bitterness but no more than I expected from what it is. Not alot of hops but the malt presence is there. Has a fairly prominent yeasty or biscuity note. Much better from the tap than from the bottle. SHANER4 (370), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jan 10, 2008 12oz bottle - Poured light copper or caramel color with medium head. Really a nice looking beer, very good carbonation. I could smell malt, slight hop and fruity scent. Tasted yeast on palate with a weak hop finish, also slightly dry. Overall a decent beer but not overly impressed. FROTHINGSLOSH (1961), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 6, 2008 I was surprised to find that I had not rated this one. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bronze-amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was sour, tangy - a bit skunky and had a dry floral hop presence. The flavor was tangy, bitter and had a moderate floral hop presence. The finish was tangy, bitter and tasted a bit off. Sadly this rating of the bottle gets better scores that I would give the draft which I have had a time or two in the past when I have forgotten that while this is named Bass they really should have left the "B" out of the name. slimchill (771), Austin, Texas, USA Jan 2, 2008 Bottle. Light hop nose. Bright and clear orange-brown. Solid hop presence, drinkable. Pretty okay beer. Haslinger (640), Syracuse, New York, USA Dec 31, 2007 One of my all time favorite beers. Buy over and over again if in need of something easy to have a couple of. Very nice color and taste.
