thekmoonlegend (93), Lynn, Massachusetts, USA Nov 10, 2007 Updated: Dec 30, 2007One of my favorite beers. Good from the bottle or on tap. Can taste the hops, but not overpowering for a pale ale. A pleasant aftertaste combined with a great amber-brown color also add to its appeal. jmikolich (405), Athens, Ohio, USA Nov 8, 2007 on Tap Oak Room , EE EoQ get together.... dark clear amber, with light white head, not much taste, easy to slam as we killed the keg in <2hrs bonbright7 (173), Bellport, New York, USA Nov 8, 2007 Tap. The orange gold pint came to me from a cute bartender, which made me thirsty...for more...ale. With a light malt aroma, I easily consumed that easy drinking pint quickly with notes of bitterness, malts, and a light cream element to it. I liked the sweet moments to it too. dmtroyer (407), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 4, 2007 Draft. Clear amber with a pillowy white head. Not much of an aroma, sweet malt, thin mouthfeel. Good carbonation and maybe a dry hop on the finish. Easy drinking. exadore (92), Sacramento, California, USA Nov 3, 2007 Bottle. Thin white head, body is a light brown color. Nutty, malty taste, with a lasting lacy carbonation. glennmastrange (805), hobe sound, Florida, USA Nov 3, 2007 Bottle. Aroma starts with a moderate malt note of caramel and cereal, an herb note for the hops and dough and broth for the yeast with wood in the background. Head is small, white, fizzy/creamy and is mostly diminishing with good lacing. Flavor starts slightly sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery, and has a lively/fizzy carbonation. This used to be a favorite, nice and malty but still an average beer. pamoja (57), Rochester, New York, USA Nov 2, 2007 If you want a pale ale come to America. This is a well tasting pale ale but lacks in carbonation. Seems like everytime I get a sixer they are flat. i guess thats how they like it across the pond. Beershine (2677), Hue, Vietnam Nov 1, 2007 Updated: Feb 24, 2009Pours absolutely clear, amber-colored, and with a small white head. Aroma of metal and caramel malts. Enters and exits fairly clean but without much in between. The butter is well-integrated. Balanced flavors, malt and hops mingle but without much complexity. Easy to find, easy to drink. I’m sure at one time this brew really shone, and I’m sure a pure cask version would be great.
