Dark amber with medium white froathy head and some bubbles. aroma of sweet malt. Dont know if it call it a bitter/esb... seems more of an marzen. Very sweet malt and carmal flavor, or maybe toffee is more accurate.

From the bottle, this pale ale/bitter has a rich, coppery red-amber colour and a very nice, rich light tan head giving excellent lacing. From the tap, my experience is that the appearance is less consistently good. It has good body, and the flavours overall are pleasant and complementary. There is some mild toastiness, especially in the finish, and a faint but definite sweet toffee-vanilla element. The result is tasty, smooth, and drinkable, but somewhat bland. It’s good but doesn’t satisfy nearly as well as it looks like it will.

Bottle. Strong foamy head. Good copper color. Aroma is light and little lacking but has hints of vanilla. Very light taste with clean finish and a hint of cream soda.

Deep golden body, with decent head. A little sweet taste with a slightly bitter finish.

Why review this? As protest! For all those dangnabit pubs and bars that insist on stocking this or those overpriced conference bars that call this an "import." It’s awful.

Had this beer on 10/15/1998. Color is a deep gold. No aroma, good carbonation and an ok head. Taste is easy but plain. Medium body goes down with a light bite. Finish is a light bitterness and an odd flavor. As a Pale Ale it is Bad, if it was just a beer it still would not be very good.

Pours an amber colour with a white head and smells kinda like a wheat ale I had a while back. Tastes great but not as bitter as some beers I have had. I drank this out of a shaker.
