wow, i can’t believe i haven;t rated this before. Had on tap tonight. Nice amber color, good frothy head. Good hops in the nose. Slightly sweet in the flavour, slightly thin body, mild bitter aftertase. a good session ale, but gets kinda cloying after 2-3.

I’m an English Pale Ale fan and nothing’s better than the tried ’n’ true Bass Pale Ale. High scores in all categories, but I’m biased as this is my all-time favorite beer. It never disappoints. History in a bottle.

Amber colour, medium off-white head. Hops and some roasted malts in the aroma.Taste is more fruity and spicy. Not as bitter and dry as an IPA. Ends watery. Nothing special.

Smells very faintly of sweet malts. Pours a nice light copper color.Taste is watery initially followed by a pleasant bitter flavor. Slightly spicy after taste. Nothing spectacular. I like beer with a bit more flavor.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a two finger off-white head that lasts leaving good lacing. Aroma of floral hops, and light malt. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a medium amount of bitterness. Good.

pours a clear light amber with little to no head. smell - spice, fruit, sweet, malt, caramel. taste - smooth, spice, carbonated feel on the tongue, wood. overall a nice brew, spicier than the normal pale ale.

12oz bottle. Pours a clear and effervescent amber with a thin, fleeting head. Aroma is light with smells of roasted malt, some hops, and a hint of tobacco and spice. Taste is creamy and medium-bodied with flavors of bitter fruit, spice, and hoppy citrus with a crisp finish. Difficult to categorize or compare -- not quite a bitter, not quite an IPA, but not quite an ale either -- but sadly not terribly memorable or unique either.

Cask at The Cask & Barrel, Edinburgh. Amber colour. White, decent head. Tobacco in aroma and flavour. Very fruity, and very much an English Bitter. Crisp with dry ending. More body here, compared to many cask ales at this abv-level.
