drinkbeer (280), Redondo Beach, California, USA May 21, 2007 A fun beer for the whole family. Smooth, some flavorful malts. Not too hopy, but it is English, mind you. badnewsbeers (1026), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA May 21, 2007 dark amber body with medium head...aroma of toasted malt and light grapefruit hops...flavor is mildy toasted, with hints of caramel and pine..finishes subtly bitter...nice and refreshing for something that is a bit more "macro" apingos (77), Rockford, Illinois, USA May 20, 2007 on tap at the oasis in rockford. beautiful white head. very thin body without much taste or bitterness. A very bland brew. My next one will part of a blank and tan. I had just had a dirty bastard which I thought was a better brew. themightyomega (82), New York, USA May 20, 2007 Bottle: Mild yeasty aroma, with hops. Reddish amber, pale tan head, basically died instantly after pouring. Nice malty flavor balanced with just the right amount of bitterness. Very well balanced, nice silky mouthfeel. A good thirst quenching brew, and just about everywhere. And it goes real well with pretzels. Zimmo (57), Siloam Springs, Arkansas, USA May 20, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pour copper red with thin head and lots of hoppy aroma. Delicious with spicy food or simply alone at the end of the night. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA May 19, 2007 12oz bottle. orange, amber colored. aroma is woody, kinda maple. Sweet malt. Very balanced. Kinda light bodied for me. Malt character along with some bitterness in the back of the palate. ’BrutalBitter’ loves this one. Kinda basic for me. cking (1012), North Canton, Ohio, USA May 11, 2007 Rated 2/4/06: This is a very good "can’t loose" ale, everytime I have one I really enjoy it. Pours a nice copper/amber color with a really good soft head. The aroma is sweet and malty. Gentle going down the hatch with a nice finish. The taste is very good, sweet and malty with a hint of some bittering hops. This is a good beer to enjoy with dinner, it goes with most dishes, and it easily available. tjthresh (1746), Greenfield, Indiana, USA May 11, 2007 Clear amber with a bubbly white head. Lots of bakery type aromas that are fairly typical of English ales. Herbal hops aroma. Crips drink with plenty of bitterness. A fine enough beer, I guess.
