The color was an unappetizing copper, but with a good head with nice lacing on the glass. The color reminds me of plasma bags when I used to donate for cash. There was no aroma to speak of. The taste was very metallic, unpleasant, and bland on the plate. I first tried this at a kegger at Radford U. My initial impression years ago was correct. This is simply a lousy beer, posing as something better.

Bottled (5.1%) Brownosh amber, clear, fairly rich head. Lightly ashy nose. Sweet with dense malt and rounded ligtly soapy mouthfeel. Perfumy, lightly peppery and fruity with some melon. Low bitterness. Streamlined. Not an attention catcher.

12oz - Aroma is mild sweet malt with the funky rust and dust of a macro. Pours transparent copper with a medium head and good lacing. Flavor matches aroma. Palate is thin and lingering in a bad way. Overall it is drinkable if there’s nothing else, but nothing special.

this one’s my go to when the draft selection is slim. its a nice smooth malt taste, with just enough bite to keep my interest for the evening. its a mild taste with medium carbonation but has enough flavor to make me go back for more... especially when the only other option is a pale lager.

Not much aroma here, poured from bottle the head fades quickly and color is read-your-newspaper-through-the-glass clear amber. Mellow is Bass and Bass is mellow - nothing aggressive here, just creamy at the edges. Got a sixer for $5.49 at Liquormart, hell yes! At those prices, or on tap to round out my food, I heartily accept. Plus it was the first beer I ever tasted, back at age 10 or so (thanks Pop!).

Amber body, quite big white head; Medium sized quite simple nose with lots of malt; Sharp carbonation, watery texture, bitter and a little sweet; Quite long quite bitter finish, simple aromas. Not really interesting.

Traditional, quality, refreshing, decent brew. Malty and robust. Good bittering hops and finished product. However, as good as it is, it is only average and is just another english ale.
