Traditional, quality, refreshing, decent brew. Malty and robust. Good bittering hops and finished product. However, as good as it is, it is only average and is just another english ale.

Well balanced ale. Earthy hops are only mildly bitter. A bit bland on the palate, but overall very drinkable.

Bottle - Nice copper/amber color with white head. Good hoppy nose, with citrus, hint of floral. Solid flavor of sweet malty grain, bitter finish. Says Pale Ale on the bottle but classified a Premium Bitter/ESB? Bottom line, I like this beer and I’ll drink/buy it again.

Bottle. Light spice and malt nose with a little nuttiness to complement the caramel. Clear light orange body with a foamy beige head. Crisp, lightly caramel malt taste. Touch of nuts and dry toffee. Not really too bitter or sweet, but a good, plain session. Touch of sourness. [3.0]

Re-rate, April 08. Bottle. Pale malt nose with grass and a slightly floral tone. Clear orange pour with a lofty rocky beige head, rather nice. Taste is basic caramel-infused pale malts, lightly nutty, and again, keeps both sweetness and bitterness under wraps. Aftertaste is dry with slight caramel. Body is watery. Just the slightest, slightest whisp of hops. Extremely good for something so ubiquitous and mainstreamed! [3.0]

First time I’ve had this beer, since I saw the light about beer. It really was pretty good. Flavor was mostly of sweet malt, a little bready, with a slight hops finish. Was easy drinking, but was not too big of fan of the palate. Dry finish.
