DeadGuyFrank (345), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA Nov 14, 2007 Everytime I drink this, I am reminded of when I was 19 sneaking beers. Almond aroma in the back of the throat (not a falvor used often in beer descriptions), a classic bitter in every way. I notice among my friends, the older we get and more "mature" our palates get, the weaker this beer seems.
beermaster1 (6), , Nevada, USA does not count Oct 4, 2008 nothing average about this beer.. quintessential u.k. beer taste real good after shot of good whiskey... add guinness.. you have a fight on your hands kcmo19 (23), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA Oct 4, 2008 A pretty average beer. Nothing really stands out about it, but it wasn’t bad. Excellent!!! jmw141 (81), Canton, Illinois, USA Sep 29, 2008 Not too bad. Nice hops. Nothing too remarkable to mention. Seemed a bit dark in color to me. borgination (90), Lee, Massachusetts, USA Sep 28, 2008 Clear, gold appearance with a thick white head. Aroma is nicely balanced of hops, malts and yeast. Flavor is definitely good. Palate is smooth and warm bodied with a nice bitter finish. Lovely beer.
