75cl bottle. This tastes like an americanize belgian pale that has travelled, it is quite good actually, citru and earhty hops, some herbs, yeast has gotten spicy. Really nice. Too bad for the miserable price point.

Bottle. Light, citrus, little bit of booze but easy drinking, Belgian yeastiness, tripel-like but lighter. Grainy and good. Bit of malt.

Het bier ziet er niet zo lekker uit als je het inschenkt maar de smaak daarentegen is een absolute meevaller.

Labelled "Belgian pale ale" and apparently seeking connection with the new hype of ’tripel hops’ in Belgium, basically a Belgian interpretation of IPA. Coarse, loose, off-white head, colour a murky ochre. Aroma with lots of grassy and herbal hops, straw, melon, young cheese, apple, iron; taste subdued fruit (green apple), bit metallic, finishing in dryish grassy hoppiness without becoming real bitter.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy bright gold color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big lemon zest, orange peel, lime, pear, apple, apricot, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, lime, pear, apple, apricot, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, lime, pear, apple, apricot, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a great crisp malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly prickly mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a damn nice Belgian pale ale. All around good complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt. and earthy hop flavors; and extremely smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
