750 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy bright gold color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big lemon zest, orange peel, lime, pear, apple, apricot, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, lime, pear, apple, apricot, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, lime, pear, apple, apricot, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a great crisp malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly prickly mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a damn nice Belgian pale ale. All around good complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt. and earthy hop flavors; and extremely smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Barwa: złocista, wyraźnie zmętniona. Piana biała, obfita, drobno i średnio pęcherzykowa, ładnie oblepiająca szkło.

33cl bottle from Delhaize. Hazy orange with a full white soapy head. Light to medium body with ditto carbonation. Bitter with some sweet tones. Malts, yeast, grass, herbs and citrus. A refreshing but not too special brew.

Si sente molto il luppolo. Birra interessante, tutte le birre di Bastogne meritano. Buono!

UPDATED: APR 30, 2014 It isn’t like real English IPA, because at first moment it has an taste of Belgian ale. However, it is a very good beer and a gift.

From tap @ beercarousel Marlou. color: golden blond, hazy, white-head. nose is subtile, new world hops and a lot of malts, grain. taste: very malty (too malty for being an IPA - the sales pitch was that this beer is a mix between a pale ale and an IPA). Overall, refreshing brew, okey, average, misses on the power.
