May 1, 2007 Fairly standard IPA. Not too hoppy, though. MAKE IT HOPPIER! Probably the best of some fairly "ok" beers at this Royal Oak hangout.

Nov 14, 2006 This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy white colored bubbles that was mostly diminishing and left behind a transparent uncarbonated orange brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a hoppy aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of medium strength hops. An OK brew just nothing special.

Jul 26, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a spare diminishing white head. Aroma is hoppy and fruity with some sweet malt. Flavour starts subtle with light citrus hops and sweet malt but has a long bitter finish. Medium bodied. A pretty good IPA.

Jul 25, 2006 Draught at the brewpub, Michigan Trip ’06. Belgian Pale listed on the menu, but IPA on the chalkboard - this was definitely the IPA. Dark orange, very small white head. Lots of amber malt in aroma and slight hops. Taste makes up for the mild aroma - a great mix of malt and sharp grapefruit hops. Good solid body to this IPA. A great IPA and the first of many I would try on this trip!

Jul 24, 2006 Draught sampler at the brewpub. Reddish-amber. Sweet malt and orangey hops in the aroma. Flavour has good maltiness to start, slowly building to a tasty citric hop finish. A really solid IPA that gets better with every sip.

Jul 24, 2006 Updated: Jul 26, 2006Draught. At the brewpub with blankboy, GregClow, jerc and tupalev. Hazy deep amber with a small white head. Aroma of light sweet malt, quite sugary (and dusty) to my nose, with mild floral hops. The bitterness is revealed in the taste - dry bitter hops - just enough malt character to balance it. Nondescript body, bitter lightly astringent mouthfeel with a medium-long finish - a session IPA and pretty tasty considering the aroma wasn’t all that promising - the finish really is interesting and this is a beer you need to let unfold, there’s a decent complexity in that finish.
