Orange beer out of the tap with a thin off white head that left some lacing. Light orange citrus nose. Strong malty beer with some grapefruit and apple sauce notes. Some hop resin in the finish. This is not a typical PNW ipa, but holds up well with lunch.

Low-hopped ipa. Nice herbal grapefruitiness, btu it just isn’t a huge hit of hops in aroma or flavor.

Good beer. I drink at least 9 a day ;) last years batch was a little better. Would not pass up the chance to have a beer here if you are in Royal Oak

On tap at Bastone Restaurant/Brewpub. Hazy amber with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of mild floral and grassy hops, pale malt and light caramel. Taste of lemon, citrus, corn, caramel, sweet malt and mild bitterness on the finish.

A bit grainy with a moderate citrus flavor. Mix of toast, citrus peels, floral flavors, caramel and decent amounts of hops. Easy to drink.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap: The aroma consists of pine and light sweet citrus. It’s a transparent amber with a small soapy head that leaves a some nice lacing. The flavor starts with sweet citrus and faint toastiness. The finish has moderate pine and light grapefruit. Overall, a solid piney IPA. I prefer citrus/grapefruit driven IPAs.

22oz at the brewpub. I have to say this tasted really good after sucking down 22ozs of the nasty, soap flavored wit beer, Witface. At the end it was probably an unremarkable IPA that was drinkable yet uninspired. But it at least killed the soapy flavor of the wit, and for that, I thank you.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a slightly cloudy orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrusy hops and malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops flavor that has citrus and pine notes. Sweet malt underneath. The finish is short and hoppy. Decent overall.
