On tap at the Bastone Brew Pub. Poured a medium to deeper and lightly hazy orange color with a small sized off wihte head. Aromas of citrus (oranges and grapefruits), and light caramel. Tastes of orange peel, grapefruit, and light caramel. Medium bitter with light lacing left on the glass.

On-tap at the brewpub. Edgy bitterness and high malt, like a double IPA. Cloudy orange and lots of lace. Breathing in the C-hop grapefruit aroma, citrus flavour-check.

Waiter seemed to think this was the same as the Belgian Pale but that does not match the IPA listed on the board or the flavour of the beer - this was definitely and IPA. Dark amber body with a small beige head. Moderate resin and hops in the aroma. Very pleasant citrus up front, moderate hoppy bitterness and resin, more than expected from the aroma.

UPDATED: JUL 26, 2006 Draught. At the brewpub with blankboy, GregClow, jerc and tupalev. Hazy deep amber with a small white head. Aroma of light sweet malt, quite sugary (and dusty) to my nose, with mild floral hops. The bitterness is revealed in the taste - dry bitter hops - just enough malt character to balance it. Nondescript body, bitter lightly astringent mouthfeel with a medium-long finish - a session IPA and pretty tasty considering the aroma wasn’t all that promising - the finish really is interesting and this is a beer you need to let unfold, there’s a decent complexity in that finish.

Dogbrick (4828) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 26, 2011
Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a slightly cloudy orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrusy hops and malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hops flavor that has citrus and pine notes. Sweet malt underneath. The finish is short and hoppy. Decent overall.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy dark amber with a spare diminishing white head. Aroma is hoppy and fruity with some sweet malt. Flavour starts subtle with light citrus hops and sweet malt but has a long bitter finish. Medium bodied. A pretty good IPA.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy white colored bubbles that was mostly diminishing and left behind a transparent uncarbonated orange brown colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a hoppy aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of medium strength hops. An OK brew just nothing special.

draft... dark clear gold, a bit too dark... average and forgettable IPA a bit too hoppy for what its supposed to be

Pailhead (3435) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - JAN 28, 2012
On tap: The aroma consists of pine and light sweet citrus. It’s a transparent amber with a small soapy head that leaves a some nice lacing. The flavor starts with sweet citrus and faint toastiness. The finish has moderate pine and light grapefruit. Overall, a solid piney IPA. I prefer citrus/grapefruit driven IPAs.

GLBN IPA Challenge 2011, copper colored pour, decent hop presence that gets somewhat overwhelmed by the strong malt backbone. Toffee, buttery maltiness. Decent, needs a bit more hop oomph
