This beer is amazing. It has a nice light yellow cloudy appearance. The aroma is significant with hints of orange, coriander and lemon. The finish has a nice citrus taste to it do to the small hints of lemon which really add unique character to this beer.

Probably my favorite wheat beer. Banana, orange peel and coriander flavors. Sweet, foamy head. Liked it enough to get a growler the next day. Made me want to come back for more.

Lasting meringue head stays on top of the cloudy pale gold hue. Extremely aromatic for a wit, the esters are powerful bringing forth the banana notes like it’s a live or die matter. Obvious fresh wheat character blends naturally with the coriander. Rather complex, creamy, orangey, lemony tartness. Refreshing, fruity and lively. Fresh cut grass hoppiness joins toward the finish and conclude well. Excellent balance. Light-medium bodied, rather heavy carbonation that settles after a few minutes. Remarkable wit.

Fresh cookie-dough, herbal, wheat aroma with light citrus and spices in the aroma. Opaque straw yellow with low cover of white head that recedes with light lacing. Wheaty, fresh flavour with some coriander spiciness in the finish. Creamy texture with good strong, crisp carbonation. Sampled at the Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Festival 2005.

Draught at the brewpub, Michigan Trip ’06. Nice cloudy white, frothy head. Very spicy perfume aroma - fresh. Taste is very sweet lemon (not citrus really) - more like lemon meringue - gives way to more perfume/floral taste - what an interesting original wit! I really enjoyed it.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Brad (364) - Berkley, Michigan, USA - APR 4, 2005
Cloudy pale yellow, white head. Pleasent wheat right away, oranges, lemons, other light citrus aromas. Flavors of wheat, bread, citrus, grains, grapes. Left a wonderfully laced glass. Nice aftertaste with the flavor clinging to the middle of the tongue. Best beer on tap at Bastone, IMHO.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2004 2004 draught. Pours with an incredible amount of sediment. Thickly cloudy, opaque. Color of orange peels, golden-orange with some lighter yellows. Small thin head, light amount of lacing. Aroma has some light citric notes, a hint of dry coriander and yeast. Flavor is very dry, crisp, lightly tart and has plenty of coriander. Light lemon peel on the finish with a bit of sharpness from the yeast. Coarse and grainy, with a touch of thinning as it warms.

On tap at the restaurant. A nice, crisp Witbier. Good citrus flavors and carbonation. Bastone’s best beer, and the best brew in Royal Oak.

Served cloudy in the glass (looks like lemonade), has a one finger white head and is effervescent, left some lacing on the sides of the glass, aromas of lemon and orange fruit, lemon citrus, wheat and has a faint fruit sweetness, flavors resemble the aromas, nice tasting Wit brew, mouth feel is medium, nice Wit beer.
