Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and malt as well as lighter notes of butterscotch and citrus, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Cask at The Wharf. It’s a clear copper colored beer with a thin off-white head. Nutty caramel aroma with some dried fruits, coffee grit and sour hints. Roasted coffee-like flavor with lots of dried fruits and a berry-like sour touch. Medium body. Pleasant bitterness in the finish. A quenching and quite tasteful beer but I don’t like the sourness. 101020

Cask - The Crosse Keys (JDW), London. Poured with a fine though lasting white head that left a soapy lace atop a dark amber body. Not a great deal to the aroma. Some apple & yeasty tang, bready malts & caramel maybe. A fair amount of yeastiness & earth again on the tongue with a grassy, soapy hoppiness. I felt it tasted a bit like a kit homebrew. Light body, low to medium carbonation with a shortish, slightly dry finish. I wasn’t keen.
