2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle bought 28 Dec 12, Best Before 28 Feb 13.
Clear dark golden honey colour, thick white head which settles gradually, visible light effervescence.
Citrusy* sour and slight biscuity smell.
Watery mouthfeel, predominant cereal taste**, bitterness doesn’t last. Not hoppy enough.
First taste of Batemans, underwhelming but pleasant enough, will try some of their other beers when given the chance.
Having read Marko’s review, I think he hits the nail on the head:
**also, slight sweet Apricot and Yeast

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
.5l bottle, with the most ridiculous label I’ve ever seen. "A unique combination of grains. Barley, oats, wheat and rye combine to give a superb aroma of freshly harvested grain. It has equal appeal to male and female drinkers. It goes well with MOST FOOD DISHES. World’s Best Pale Ale at the World Beer Awards." (emphasis theirs).
Rusty gole-brown. Big soapy head. Grainy, fruit cake, (multigrain) bread. Medium carbonated body. Odd fruits, mish-mash of mash. Ginger ale, sweet cola, rye bread. Ok, but doesn’t live up the the label (*wink)

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
The commercial description on this one was a blast, but can’t be bothered to quote from it. Ogi’s. Poured a nicely full golden body with a small white head. Apricot juice/fruitcake aroma, grainy. The taste is light apricot struggling in a crappy yeastiness. Perfumey and I love the fruity touch, but it’s so spoiled by the yeastiness that I can’t take a liking to it. Ok but not ok.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Orange brown with slight head. Thinnish fruity flavors with a heavy malt base, awesome aromatics but a slight perfumey flavor with a burnt tinny note. Bitter on the finish.flavour

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bärnstensfärgad öl med lätt vitt skum. Doft av säd och en fruktig, tuggummiaktig nyans. Ganska tradionell lagersmak med en hyfsad torr beska.
