COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: pasteurised. Bottled by Marston’s.
Combined Harvest is a unique combination of brewing worts, or extracts from a variety of cereals. Most premium ales are brewed only using malted barley, but this multigrained beer has a unique multigrain blend of malted barley, oats, rye and wheat. Grainy tasting with a delightful floral start and finish.

Nice lookin brew, light gold and a firm white head. Has an interesting mix of flavours ranging from crunchy malt to a delicate honeyed sweetness, with a hint of gentle spice in between. All this has a lighty acidic hoppiness in the background. A good beer with a longish finish, light and quite refreshing. From Aldi.

Appearance: clear brassy amber, with a medium white head and minimal lacing. Aroma: solid malt presence with a pleasantly subtle whiff of rye bread and notes of dark fruits. Taste: whole grain brown bread, caramel, toffee, a little spice from the rye, with notes of cherry and some mellow, smooth hoppyness. Finish: clean, crisp, and short, with a bit of lingering toasty malts. Notes: I’m not terribly famliar with ESBs, but I can’t believe this isn’t more highly rated. This thing practically defines drinkable. The balance between sweet, bready malts (with a lovely bit of rye spice), a hint of sweet fruits, then a leveler of mellow, slightly herbal and floral hops made this wonderful drinking. Gone before I knew it.

Small white head. Fair lacing. Fully diminishing longevity. Clear, thin, light-amber body. Rich aromas: moderate malt, molasses, moderate hops, honey, guarana and barley. It also tastes a little like guarana, and also like corn flakes with honey. Initial flavor: moderate sweetness, light acidic and bitter. Final flavor: light sweetness, acidic and bitterness. Average duration. Palate: light-medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation and lightly adstringent finish.

500ml bottle. Deep golden body, short-lived white foam. Rather rich malty aroma; caramel, dense grain bread, biscuit, cereals and skunk. Some citrusy hops are intergrated. Reasonably lean body, carbonation quite low, oily texture spurred on by rye and oats. Complex grainy malts on the body, somehow reminisant of scotch whisky malt at times without the smokiness. Caramel malt in there too, hand-in-hand with lemon/orange citrus hop zest. Finishes moderately bitter, on the sweet side, with a doughy note. Interesting beer, the texture and malt profile is certainly quite unique and adds to the overall character, but it’s a bit unexciting otherwise.

4.7%, light gold colour with a thin head, no aroma, it has a sweet fruity but fizzy taste.

500 mL bottle from Asda, poured into a pint glass. Fine, light amber colour, light head. Light aroma, inoffensive. An interesting blend, a touch roasted. Despite the 4 grain nature of the beer its no Karmeliet Tripel, but a nice beer to drink slowly. Very smooth but a little bitter/sour.

Strong hoppy aroma. Flavour is a kind of non-sweet maltiness, if that makes any sense. Very little bitterness. This is just an ok curiosity.

was surprised to see such a low rating for this, i thought it was a very enjoyable session style bitter. the color and aroma were both very pleasing, yes very expected, nothing too far out of the norm here, the taste is a nice balance of hops and malts with a buttery toasty taste in the back of the throat. very enjoyable indeed.

A medium dark amber beer with a thick, frothy white head. The nose is light and clean with hints of toasted malt and a slightly hoppy finish. The taste again is malty, but with a distinctly bitter flavour, dry with hints of malt and a slight touch of wheat, there is the hop element towards the end. The aftertaste is light but dry on the tongue. (Bottle).
