NOTE: Only ratings for the cask version should be entered here. The pastuerised, bottled version has a separate listing.
A unique combination of brewing worts produced from barley, oats, wheat and rye. Grainy tasting with a delightful floral, start and finish.

Cask(Peterborough Beer Festival 2004) This is more of a strong ale or an old ale than a simple bitter. Strong malty aroma - rye-bread and some subtle spice. Full bodied in the mouth, but on the sweet side and could get cloying.

1. Cask Stillage at the Memorial Hall, Northwich 20/09/2003 Golden colour slightly hazy in appearance. Some sour fruit and a lasting malt hop finish. 2. Cask Stillage at the RAOB Club, Northwich 18/10/2003 Golden colour slightly sour fruit flavour. Some dryness in a full malt finish.

Oct, 2004: JDW, Rochester. Malty with a rye bread flavour and poppy seeds and some aniseed. Gentle brown sugar sweetness. Some interest here, but I can’t quite get past the thick crude undeveloped malt. [2.8]

Cask @ Akkurat, Stockholm Backlog 12 Nov 2004
Fruity, almost on the border to sour. Slightly hazy and harsh. Might have been off, but no infection detected.
