3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a deep, lively ruby with a big, dense beige head, which is slow in disappearing and leaves slight lacing. Aromas of chocolate, red berries and coffee liquor. Roasted malt, boiled sweets and chocolate comprise the flavour profile with a short, dry roasted bitterness and a slight initial metallic element that quickly subsides. Crisp, medium body, mildly effervescent mouthfeel.

Dark in both texture and taste, with a rich, fruity aftertaste and a slightly spicy twang

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. A very dark red-brown with a small, light-brown head. Muted malt and yeast aromas. Smooth coffee flavours underneath, but slightly let down by an acidic overtone.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Medium beige head. Barely translucent deep dark brown body. Earthy roasty prunes taste with soy sauce notes. Dry-sweet earthy spicy roasty taste with metallic nutty notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dryish mealy roasty chocolatey aftertaste with resiny caramelly fruity prunes notes. Perfectly decent, but a bit low on flavour. (0.5l bottle, from co-op, Whitby.)

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
The beer that should not be named. Bready aroma with light chocolate hints. It pours like a liquid and fills the glass nicely assuming the glass is free of holes. Taste is a little hollow like Voldemort's soul but reasserts itself like Harry, Ron and Hermione did with coffee hints. Pretty good. Would recommend a try but go for a bottle instead of a case for your first go.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown with modest tan head subsiding quickly to a thin layer. Pleasant roasted malt aroma. Good flavour - dark chocolate, medium roast coffee. A touch of sweetness would improve the balance. Somewhat thin on the tongue. Lingering dry bitter hoppy finish.

Bottle marked as Mr. George... The old bait and switch aye? This tick is brought to you by your local rip and run, McDonalds, and coldbrewky. Pours black with ruby edges. Thin tan head disapates quickly. Nose of slight smoke, chocolate. Taste adds a slight nod to plum. Body seems a bit thin and watery at times but is overall adequate. I was really excited when I clicked the"George" link to be taken to a beer called "Dark Lord".... Then I remembered this one was from the UK and not the US. #MomoFail
