Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 8, 2003 [Cask at GBBF 03] An opaque brown beer with a small brown disappearing head. The aroma is nutty with malt notes. The flavor starts on a pretty bitter note followed by a nice maltiness with a little note of roast malt. It ends on a pleasant bitterness. It is a little thin in the palate - probably because of the low alcohol content. All in all an average bitter. Oakes (6819), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 25, 2002 Very dark brown; soft body; sweet, creamy, toffee, vaguely walnutty; finishes sweet with a hint of demerara. yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Apr 14, 2008 From cask at Charlies. Pours dark brown to black with a lasting tan head. Aroma is mild roasted malt. Dry malty flavour with a light acidic note. Light roasted note from the malt and a rather mild one. Roasted malt finish. Amazingly flavourful for 3%. Welldone. fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Dec 23, 2005 Cask at the Market Porter, London Black color, thin head. Light malt aroma. Very light body and flavor, watery. Useless. duff (5404), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Jun 30, 2004 Cask@Kingston beer Festival. Not too bad, especially for a beer with 3% alcohol. Some Vanilla, figs, roasted malt, chocolate. Quite subtle, perhaps a little too much so, creamy, sweetish, with a dry finish.
