Cask Conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Brown amber beer with no head. Low impact beer, a middling forced malt with some nut character but very little else, a watery brew.

28th September 2007. St Albans Beer Fest. Brown beer. Crisp palate. Minerally and not that bitter. Dry finish. Very slightly off the beaten track.

Cask. Was expecting a lot more from this pint. Good colour and head, but overpowering sulphur taste. Felt there was some malt and hops in there somewhere.

Cask. One of Batemans monthly beers. Not bad, brown with thin white head a bit darker than the XB with roast malt flavour and hops. Quite good session beer.

Dusty, darkened amber colour, no head. Pretty poor bitter this. Not much flavour and hardly any hop or bitterness. Disappointing effort, even for a lightly built bitter.
