FatPhil (6205) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JAN 30, 2012
Cask (Kinston Arms, Cambridge)
6 Light black tea aroma.
3+ Pale bitter with a nice persistent loose head.
6 Simple sweet malts, some butterscotch, mushroom later.
4- Nice light grainy finish, sweetish, but not underattenuated. Nice - resiny and sticky. Alas, the mushroom stays in the finish too.
13+ Hoppier than the average Batemans, this is a good bitter.

wyzzywyz22 (1525) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - NOV 12, 2009
Cask, Belvedere, Liverpool. Copper tinged amber colour with minimal off white head. Rustic caramel malt aroma with some trace hop. Quite fruity flavour that is reasonable for the low abv. Clearly not an ipa though..

imdownthepub (7461) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 15, 2009
Cask conditioned at The George, Barford St. Michael, Oxon. Amber with white head. Avoiding all the questions about IPA, this is a pretty average beer. Thin, light bitterness with a slightly fruity note. Reasonable session ale but thats about it.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2009 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Coppery amber with a small off white head. Malty aroma, rather earthy. Oily malt taste, sweet, with a bready background and a sharp mid bitter finish. Hugely tasty for the ABV. 17.11.09 Same location. Slightly toasty malt aroma. Pleasant malty taste with a hint of peachy fruit. Some bitterness. Rather nice. Rated: 6,4,6,4,11:3.1

berkshirejohn (3014) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 16, 2008
Cask at the Three Mariners, Hythe. Hazy gold with a thin white head; sulphurous and yeasty aroma; grainy and yeast flavours with some citrus and spice; rounded bready finish. A subtle and understated beer - reminds me of how Bass used to taste.

Cask at local club. Light brown, quite sweet and full bodied for the strength, not bad maybe needs to condition longer, some caramel is evident.

MesandSim (7109) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2006
A Mes rate: Very bland and mildly sweet aroma. Nice colour in the body and fairly heavy lace. Sweet tangy flavour. Almonds apricot and a hint of tobacco in the finish which ends up quite sweet with a hint of marzipan (must be the almonds). So so...

Cask (handpulled) at Olde Dolphin Inn Summer Festival 2005. Can you sue brewers for the inappropriate use of the description IPA? Anyway, this was really rather thin all round, rugged orange with some hop to the nose but little in way of developed flavour.
