3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. For some reason i expected an American style beer possibly with some hop presence. Instead what i got was a heavily pasteurised below average bitter with hardly any selling points.Univiting aroma and fairly bland slight bitterness. Easily the worst beer I have ever tried from this brewery. What a dissapointement.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Forgot to drink this 500ml bottle on 4th July, so the bottle was broached today (17th July 2012): some 13 days before itís best before date.
Poured into a Batemans badged UK pint sleeve obtained from the brewery some years ago.
Light amber body, big white bubbles in a thinning but full head.
Floral nose wrapped in a caramel wafer dipped in a toffee apple mixture.
The taste was more bitter than the smell indicated: starts mildly malty then turns into a hoppier brew mid-sip becoming hop dry towards the end.
Good body strenght and the flavours carried some interest throughout the tasting: well carbonated and all in all a fine beer for the money I paid at a local cut-price supermarket (M & B).

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled 12/05/12. A golden beer with an off-white pool of head. Typical Batemans creamy fruity metallic tang to the nose except the fruit is more pleasant than usual. Itís similar in the mouth where it is joined by a spicy edge. The metal is more pronounced. Better than usual for a Batemans one off.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from the brewery. Billowy head which lasts. Caramel colour. Smooth, but standard dry drink with bitter notes and palate. Not unpleasant, but nothing earth shattering.
