COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Just as you’d expect, Miss America is a full, well rounded, robust beer, bigger and better than the rest.

maeib (6618) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - MAY 17, 2012
Bottled 12/05/12. A golden beer with an off-white pool of head. Typical Batemans creamy fruity metallic tang to the nose except the fruit is more pleasant than usual. It’s similar in the mouth where it is joined by a spicy edge. The metal is more pronounced. Better than usual for a Batemans one off.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2012 Bottle: Didn’t seem too have much to it. The taste isn’t anything special and doesn’t linger aside from a slightly bitter after-taste.

Bottle from the brewery. Billowy head which lasts. Caramel colour. Smooth, but standard dry drink with bitter notes and palate. Not unpleasant, but nothing earth shattering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50 cl bottle, Sheffield, UK. Medium gold, thin clinging head. Spiced burnt caramel aroma. Bright flavour, then a long bitterness that almost sours on the finish.

500ml bottle. Pours caramel with a medium head. Aroma is some fruity malt with grass and spicy hop underneath. Taste is grass and spicy, slightly skunky hop. Not sure what’s American about this.

Bottle. Amber with a white foam. Aromas are biscuit and caramel with earthy leaves and hints of ripe pear. Lightly nutty with yeast. Flavours are grassy and earthy with dry woodiness and underlying sweet caramel. Dry with paracetomol and lemon bitterness on the finish. OK.

DruncanVeasey (5136) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JUN 29, 2011
Bottle from Aldi. Torrentially fizzy blonde with a high, pocked white head. Metallic, grassy, slight house aniseed aroma. Some dogginess and English woodland. Watery with a rub of fennel seed-like spice and hints of wet dough and egg custard; typical Bateman’s. Alarmingly pleasant sweet malt (corn?) aftertaste- a ringer for custard cream biscuits. Some decent malt and house yeasty notes here, but as expected absolutely nothing in the way of hops to balance them. Vapid.
