Cask at the Royal Blenheim, Oxford, 21-09-09 at CAMRA Oxford Beer Festival planning mtg. Poured light-mid amber good clarity and a nice white head, in very good nick. Quite fruity from the off with some liight lingering bitterness, light tanginess and whilst very slightly sweet there was an edge of dryness towards the end. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Pale and caramel malts, fruity and grassy hop, but the mineral character of the water is good and balances everything.

Cask conditioned at The Turf Tavern, Oxford. Amber with no head. Tinny, thin sharp bitter with a slight malty sweetness, but little hop character in this sample. Not sure what is happening in The Turf, but there wasn’t a decent beer to be had on the night.
