Cask-conditioned at the Coronation, Bristol 30/01/10. Deep brown in colour with next to no head. Sweetish, fruity malt aroma. Flavour was similar with some Bateman’s house yeast and long, bitter finish. Good.

Clear medium brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, nutty, sugar, light to moderate hoppy, citrus - orange. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100117]

lovely scarlet red ... thin tan head ... soft toffee nose .... light biitter toffee hop ... juicy malts... better yhan expected

Cask in the Market Porter. Alround rating: Absolute diactyl bomb, a touch of toffee but i coudlnt drink half of the half pint due to the buttery messyness.

Some hop aroma. Amber mid brown coloured and a little rich on the palate with a crisp and slightly bitter full malt finish.

Cask. Clear dark amber golden with an off-white head. Lightly sweet nutty caramel nose. Medium body, flat, lightly nutty with some dried fruit also. Has a vague underlying tartness. Dry, hoppy finish. 170110

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Dark amber with a small off white head. Rich treacly malt aroma. Creamy malt taste, delightfully warming. Sharp bitter finish. Very good indeed.
