330ml bottle: BBD 31 Mar 2015. Poured into a Coors Banquet badged vase glass at home on 22 Aug 2014. Orange in colour and clear, off white head, with trails of carbonation bubbles rising up through the glass. Sweet orange nose and taste, think thin marmalade liquidised with some malted barley, neat alcohol, a bit of yeast and you’ve got the beer I am currently drinking as I write this. Interesting enough, but a small bottle is about right: I will not be having another.

Bottle, from Co-op Messingham. Golden brown, thin short lived white head and moderate condition. Gentle tangy marmalade orange notes in the nose, quite dry in the mouth with more orange citrus and a little sweet barley sugar, finish is a little bitter with an oily citrus note lingering

Almost a spirit edge to the aroma, which isn't strong. Very little head. Initial bitterness that leads to orange zest, some vanilla. Extremely smooth in mouthfeel. Easy on the end. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle from the brewery. Bright orange amber colour. Aroma of that old bottle of Cointreau at the back of the cupboard. Taste has orange and chocolate, with that marmalade bitterness. Yummy.

Bottle from the brewery, pours amber with an orange tint and the disturbing aroma of Fanta. Yet on the palate it’s crisp and initially bitter, quickly giving way to a great balance of pine and citrus hops, drying alcohol, sweetish malt - and yes, orange. The finish is still lightly orange, but with a lasting dry-bitterness and a touch of toasty marmalade. For a beer that one feels instinctively shouldn’t work, this is extremely good! The future’s bright....
