Clear amber beer with a strong scent and taste of orange. Does exactly what it says on the tin! Quite balanced for all that though.

Bottle. Orange and clear. Quite pleasant citrus taste but nothing else to really rave about. Reasonable but more mundane than I expected.

Bottle from Morrisons. Dark red ale with small white head. Intense aroma of orange zest. Taste is very sweet and a bit spicy/sour. Slight carbonation with good oily body.

Bottle from ASDA. Ruby with a very thin cream head. A slightly weird bitter metallic orange flavour. Something peppery in there too. Not very nice.

Bottle. Oranges with tea and spices. Floral and leafy with medicinal notes. Flavours are sweet oranges and raspberry with almonds. Nice barley water flavours which bring back memories of robinsons barley water. Nice.

6.2% amber colour with a good head, orange aroma, dry citrus tangy taste. I do not like orange as a drink so this was not a favourite.

Purchased ain a 33cl bottle as Marks and Spencer Lincolnshire Orange Barley Beer. Pours a rich golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is of marmalade. Taste is also dominated by orange flavours but with some malt and some quite bitter hops. Reminds me slightly of cough mixture. It does not really work as beer for me - too sweet and not enough integration between the hop and orange flavours. I guess if you approached it as an orange, beer-flavoured drink, it might work better.

330ml bottle from Morrisons. An attractive copper colour with a cream head; some fresh orange juice and malt aromas; and a similar taste; followed by a spicy warmth and some lingering marmalade. Pleasant, but I didn’t really pick up the barley.
