Bottle. Clear dark golden color with a medium large head. Quite mild with notes if malts, hops, spices and fruity. Has a bitter finish. Is not what i think is a christmas beer more a ale / bitter.

A clear amber beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is sweet nutty, slightly spicy and with slight notes of citrus. The flavor is malty and very nutty - almost burnt, combined with caramel, citrus and some spices.

Bottled. Lightly hazy copper colour, firm head. Grassy cherry-like hops starts it off. Fairly sweet with firm, clean solid maltiness. There’s chewy cookie malt with notes of dextrose. . The quite intense piney resiny hops create a long bitter finish. I’m actually rather impressed.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Dark amber coloured beer. Bitter with a subtle banana note. Long bitterish finish. Okay but nothing special.

Bottle. It pours a clear, copper-colored body under a small, beige head. Bready nose with some fruity hops, just as expected from a low ABV English old ale. The flavor is much the same, sweet, bready and with dried fruits. Bready finish as well. Dryish mouthfeel, even though it’s rather sweet. Sure, it’s drinkable and quite tasteful, but too boring to make it very interesting. (090605)

500ml bottle from Morrisons. Reddish brown beer, with thin beige head. Bit of boiled sweet. Some nice nalts, ok in mouth. Good malts run on with a goodish pepper hop finish. Not as good as on draught. Again that boiled sweet flavour lets it down. Some brown sugar
