Cask (handpump) @ The Masque Haunt (JDW), London EC1, England.
Clear medium orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, buttery, chlorine notes, pepper notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. (030808)

Tasted this in the Pommelers Rest, London (JDW) in July 2008. Cask, handpump dispense. Cloudy pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Zesty grapefruit in the short aroma. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give juicy fruit notes of lemon peel and grapefruit strong in the mouth. Strong bitter resins from the booming hop notes add bite to the bitter sweet finish. An ok session blond ale but nothing too exceptional.

Cask: Pale golden to golden, creamy lacy head, sticking to the glass; light to moderate lemony and "woody" hoppy nose; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour with a light acidity; very light bodied; lingering fruity (sour apples) and hoppy finish. Thin but tasty.....

Cask conditioned handpump Malt Shovel Northampton. A golden beer which poured with no head. A bit of sulphur in the aroma together with a hint of hop. Hops in the mouth with a touch of pear drop flavour. A decent Summer ale which beats most Batemans seasonals.

Cask. Slightly buttery aroma. Hazy golden colour. Almost no head. The flavour is a lot better than the aroma, subtle, but OK, dusty.

Cask. Flavour and aroma are both fruity and dry sour wood. Flavour is mainly sour wood with slight hints of cookies and caramel. Aftertaste is mainly bitter and wooden.

Clear golden with tiny white head. Sweet and fruity aroma with discrete hoppy and caramel notes. Sweet flavor with fruity, caramel and hoppy notes leading it to a bitter finish.

Handpulled cask at JDW Hatch End, Harrow. Pretty simple, grainy cask ale. Pretty light, fresh and summery, with little character. Pale yellow with a lacy fluffy head. Excellent condition. Dull flavour.
