2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Gravity cask at the Bree Louise. Cloudy, light amber pour with a filmy head. Nose holds sour malts and citrus fruits. Flavor is lightly sweet but dominated by the sour malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Some mild dryness on the finish with more sourness. I can’t finish this.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. The pumpclip features the message ’Hands off my 17.5% pint’, and features a cartoon of a superhero slapping someone, presumably George Osborne, in the face. No doubt we’ll see this beer again in April 2012 when VAT rises to 22.5%. Amber with a small white head. Faint malt aroma. Taste is thin, sour and grim with a mid bitter finish.
