[Bottle that my Dad shared with me - cheers!] Amber, caramel & a dusty bitterness with a lot of cardboard. Everything I expect in a Batemans beer and less.

Snegurochka (291) - Tromsø, NORWAY - APR 25, 2013
500ml bottle from Alko in Hetta, Finland. Shared 22.Aug.2011@Back to School Beer Session. Pours a clear copper body, with small head that leaves some lacing on the glass and spots on the surface. Aroma: caramel, chocolate and whiff of alcohol. Taste: Some bitterness, leaves and nuts. Then I sensed the alcohol too much, and felt a bit disappointed.

Bottle 50cl, a clear amber beer. Aroma is very sweet on caramel and toasted barley, classic UK malt profile, hints of spices, spicy hops. Quite common but pleasant.

Osprey87 (542) - London via, WALES - MAR 14, 2013
Jan 2013 - malty with mild rum overtones, some ’old ale’ qualities. It’s pleasant enough to drink. Overall, it’s a better than average british beer.
